Solved! How do you fix my Sony

I have just bought a Sony UBP -X700 and I have a Sony bravo KDL-50R550A Tv I have tried to hook up my Sony UBP-X700 and it tell Me unavailable signal please check the device output what does that mean and what do I need to do

HDMI cable from BD player to HDMI input on your TV.
Use your TV' remote to select proper HDMI input instead of TV.

Some TVs won't let you select an input unless the BD player is connected and already turned on.
