How do you ran the mem test

My laptop is having a black screen problem, this is the second time i found a fix in this website a month ago about entering the memory test by pressing a key combination but i sadly forgot it. Can anyone share it pls? To the one who posted it pls if you see this post kindly share it thanks in advance, sorry for having a bad memory (me)

What is the exact problem it is having? Is it not turning on at all (the display) or is it turning on and then going black just before getting to Windows? Or something else? Please share a bit more details.

Its just blank screen, i found a thread here in toms guide and one answer suggested a key combination to go directly to memory test without entering the bios or something, this is the second time i encountered this problem it was fixed the first time tho i even uninstalled some games and google chrome, it lasted for about 3 weeks then the problem occured again today

Its just black screen before going to windows, i tried using external monitor, cant get to bios setup, advance boot or vaio recovery center

OK I am still not getting part of this. Is it black from the moment you turn on the computer? Or is it showing screens and then black right before you get to Windows?
