Newegg does not charge tax unless you live in CA (Headquarters) or TN / NJ (warehouses) so do not buy from Newegg if you live in those states.

The price at Amazon after tax is generally comparable to Newegg w/o tax. So it's just another option if you prefer Amazon. If I were to buy the laptop it would cost me a extra $6 to order it from Amazon, but there could be other things I may want to order from Amazon.
