How durable are USB ports?

Hello,
I just bought a new PC (not a laptop but I can't find a PC section) and I'm wondering how durable USB ports are?

I know it's a weird question but I have had a long cable plugged into the USB port and it keeps getting ran into, the port still works and doesn't appear to be damaged but I'm worried about compromising the integrity of the port this way.

I notice the ports luckily have some flex to them but needless to say I won't be using this cable anymore and just bought a Bluetooth USB to use instead.

Every electrical connection is rated for specific number of connect/disconnect events. As you are unlikely to reach that limit on your USB port before yanking it out of the case, you should be safe.
