how many treads do i have?

Wel i was asking myself while setting up my game for the best results when i have an intel i7 with 8 cores (octa core) how many threads do i have cause i saw a few pages where quad cores have like 8 threads but i don't think that an octa core have 16 treads right? I still think it has 8 threads as wel. Am i right?

yea but that is not my processor mine is a intel i7-4800MQ

and i don't have to much time now because my tournament is about to start 😉

and on the site they say it has 4 cores and i have 8

Well, you said octa-core i7... so that's on you.

And the i7-4800MQ is NOT AN OCTACORE - it's quad core.

It's PHYSICALLY a four-core processor. The extra threads are counted when in device manager - therefore giving you 8 entries.

My i7-3610QM is the same way.

Decreasing graphics settings will net you the biggest gains - go from 1080p to 720p, turn off anti-aliasing, etc.

wel CS GO is already known as a game wich you don't play with the highest settings i'm playing on like 1280x960 and i also use the razer cortex program and i still have a FPS of just around 140 could it be cause i'm playing on a gaming LAPTOP??

the rest of my team does have a FPS around 250
(but still doesn't help me out)

You do realize any advice is pointless without knowing the rest of your specs.

But, yes, playing on a laptop will cripple performance if your teammates are playing with desktops.

Well it still looks like you know a lot of elektronics, because i'm at the moment studying for electricity-electronics.

But again are there any more specs you need from me to help me out about the FPS or don't you have any idea how to increase it?

It's just nice to know what ALL specs of the laptop are because you could already be hitting the ceiling of how far the laptop can go.
