I have chosen two laptops
Dell inspiron 3542-1000bk for $240 and dell inspiron 3542-1666bk for $285.
One has intel celeron 2955u(or maybe 2957u) and the other has intel pentium 3558u.

Considering the above sites should i consider that the pentium is slightly better than the celeron one?OR should i still care that celeron processors are slow and pentium are fast?
Both laptops have intel hd graphics(haswell) so i think that these are best affordable laptops anyone want.Excpet that the celeron laptop has no optical drive.

The Pentium chip has a 300Mhz higher clockspeed giving a speed increase of a bit over 20% (than the 2955u and 2957u) and compared to the 2955u has the ability to use Intel quicksync for video encoding and decoding which is also the difference between the 2955u and 2957u. So if those don't have a dedicated chip and you want to be able to watch video's I would definitely make sure to at least get the Pentium or Celeron 2957u. Although depending on usage in that price area if you are more media concerned AMD's chips are better for mobile media but Intel would be faster for everything else.

BTW today the difference between a celeron and a pentium isn't that much the real Intel chips are the Core series (i3, i5, i7) especially the Core i7's.
