How much traffic is this forum getting per day?

I used to see over 40 messages per day. More recently, 10-20 per day.
In the last couple of months, it is running less than 12 per day most
days. Is this traffic typical elsewhere, or is my ISP having newsgroup
traffic failures?

No, I'm seeing about what you're seeing (less if you ignore the crossposted
baloney).

That's typical traffic. This newsgroup is brain-dead.

I wouldn't say it's braindead. I still read everyday, but it's hard for me
to post on-topic stuff. I've been so busy with college that a lot of other
things (sadly my collecting habits) have taken the backseat. I think I might
post something on-topic for once.

Yeah, there are still some people hanging out for old times' sake.
I find it odd that no one has been discussing conventions or
anything... though there may not be enough people here attending
said conventions anymore.

My only convention was Jag Fiasco 2k2 in St. Louis. Talk about a joke,
only 22 people attended, and over half of those were due to my efforts
(and over $200 out of pocket expenses) to publicize the show. It was
held in a downtown hotel that was hard to locate ion the first place,
and at the time of the show, there was construction of a near-by
building that forced the frequent closing of the only one-way street
actually leading to the hotel. I heard from roughly 20 people after the
fact that tried to find the place and gave up because construction made
it too difficult. And I am sure that the few I personally heard from
were a fraction of the number that actually tried and gave up and didn't
contact me.

Also, being the local guy, my personal collection damn near made the
show, as there would have been only three jags, a ps/2 and one TV
without my supplies and efforts.

Needless to say, that has left a bit of a taste in my mouth about vid
game conventions.

Well, there aren't any real videogame conventions in central Florida. All of
the neat stuff seems to be up north :-(
