*How to Ask for Advice about Choosing a New GPU*

Hi i'm currently trying to choose a laptop that i can bring to college and also use to game on so i dont have to bring my desktop with me, i want my laptop to either be around the same or better than my desktop but i have been out of touch with the pc community for a while so im not in touch with new gpus or cpus, im running an amd athon ll x4 oc'd, an nvidia 9800 gt 512 mb oc'd and 4 gigs of ddr2 667 RAM, im just scared of ending up witha laptop thats worse than my desktop and not able to play anything, i found laptops with 4-8 gigs of ddr3, but the only thing im hesitant on is the whole i5/i7 vs a8/a10, and mixing and matching with mobile gpus, im able to play most games on ultra with my current setup but only with around 25-40 frames, any help appreciated.

you need a a mgpu of

AMD:
Mobility: HD 5770, HD 5750, 6600M/6700M (GDDR5)

NVidia:
Go (mobile): 9800M GTX, GTX 260M (112), GTS 360M (GDDR5), 555M (DDR3)

to be equalish to your gpu. all laptops now and days will have ddr3 ram so ram will proabbly be better then what you currently have
