How to Connect a Basic Comcast Box to Monitor/Display

I own a basic Comcast box that only has a coaxial output. I am planning to use my PlayStation Display as a TV. I was thinking if there was a way to convert the output signal (coaxial) into VGA or RCA if possible. Upgrading to an HD package is not possible. I have been researching this, but I am unable to find a concrete answer.

Well, I am not a TV expert by any means, but I read somewhere that you might be able to do this thru a VCR that has a built in tuner and RCA video outputs.

your playstation display only has hdmi and component inputs. i'm not sure if it will accept anything but those (it doesnt have a vga jack so looks like vga will not work and composite y+r+w likely will not work either.

afaik you only have two options:

-use a different tuner box which has hdmi or component out (sometimes available from your cable company, if not it needs to be compatible)
-use a conversion box to take the coax signal and turn it into hdmi or component.

Hmmm, I see. I think I'll just have to keep my cable box where it is at. Thanks for the website. It provided some good info.
