How to edit filepaths in Android?

So I have a problem that I don't have an eject option for my extenal sd card as I think Android is getting confused between the internal and external. Anyway I found out that I need to add /mnt to the filepath of the external card, but I'm not sure how I can actually edit the filepath.

Eject as in "unmount"? Is the card seen as storage when you look at the storage information? If you look at the SD Card, you should see Total space and then "Unmount SD card". Where are you trying to edit the filepath? Did you try reseating the card and rebooting the device?
