How to enable 15 month mcafee subscription

Hello,
I have bought a Lenovo Laptop on 1st Jan 2010 and then my friend used it for a week and told me that he has activated the Mcafee's 15 month subscription but now am getting a msg saying that my subscription is going to end in 8 days...Can anyone tell me what should I do now ?

Uninstall is and install one of these:

AVG Antivirus
OR
AVAST Antivirus

Both of these use less resources and do everything just like mcafee.

@jfreggie...Thanks for replying to my post......but I want to utilize that 15 month subscription of Mcafee...Can you suggest me regarding that ?

AVG and Avast are both worlds better than the McAfee subscription. I would do what he suggests.

AVG and AVAST are way better than McAfee could even compare to. I would also suggest to do what jfreggie said.

McAfee is a pile of bloatware.
I would recommend uninstalling it as soon as possible.
Either use one of the above or the quite decent and free Microsoft Security Essentials.
