How to find out if lenovo laptop is refurbished

I bought a lenovo y520 laptop from a local shop.I want to know if it is refurbished or not.I checked the serial number from the lenovo web page(with auto detector) and it does not have an R on it.Also,it has a warranty of about 830days.Is there any way to make sure?
Should I call the customer service(i do not live in usa so maybe they will not be able to help?).
