how to get tv sound through blu-ray

Hi I have a lg42pg60 TV. I bought a samsung 5.1ch blu-ray ht-h5500k. I connected HDMI & aux cables but don't get TV sound to go through blue ray. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanx

You need to connect an audio output from the tv to the audio input of the receiver. The only audio input the h5500k has(according to the specs i found) is digital optical and the tv has an optical out so get an optical cable. Once that is attached set the audio to external in the tvs audio setting menu.

Verify that you have an HDMI v1.3 cable. For 3D Blu-ray, you need v1.4.

Blu-ray 4K/Ultra HD players require an HDMI v2 cable.
