how to hook up a blu ray player to two tv's

Solution
Being that HDMI gives the best resolution and also carries both video and audio, I would simply use an HDMI splitter such as http://www.amazon.com/J-Tech-Digital-Registered-Trademark-Capability/dp/B008D66RAU/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1394058750&sr=1-1&keywords=hdmi+splitter+1+in+2+out+1080p . Many Blu-Ray players only have 1 HDMI output port, but for under 25 dollars this component would solve your dilemma. This particular model offers full 1080p to both sets as well as supporting 3D, so you get the full benefit all around.

hooked both TV's, one HDMI, one component w/audio cables and was successful feeding picture and sound to both. I know what you mean about canceling out component output, I tried the same with my
Comcast HD cable box and it didn't work. I ended up getting an HDMI splitter from Monoprice that solved the problem. Thank you for your quick reply from my first post

yes, I am using a HDMI splitter for my HD comsast cable box and DVD is working with HDMI and component cables but will upgrade to another HDMI splitter as you suggest for 1080p on both sets
