how to hook up basic cable to a proview tv

I have a proview flat screen and im trying to hook up my basic cable but I dont have my remote control can someone please help me

Not sure why the remote control has anything to do with your question, just plug in the cable cord to the TV. You can use the case buttons to change inputs and channels. If you have some other issue, please add some details.

After connecting the cable you will need to access the set up menu of the TV and select cable then do a channel scan. You should be able to do this from the controls on the TV although it will be awkward. You can probably get a replacement remote online. Depending on your cable system and the type of tuner in the TV it is not sure that you will get many if any channels. Give it a try. Nothing to lose.
