How to import clip art files using Windows Vista

Hello,
I am trying to learn how take clip art designs from a clip art collection cd and import the design into a document created using a sign graphic arts software program. I have no experience import files. Need help.

The software will have options to add clipart to documents, Vista or no Vista does not magger. Look for something like an Insert option in the document, it will ask you where you want to copy the file from, point it to the file you want on the CD.
