Hi Nerd, Thx for reply... I'm trying to install windows 7 ultimate X64 sp1. Off a:- Windows A.I.O x24 x64.iso Boot Disc. I had a bad sector ed HD. With suspect BIOS issues. I've now installed a brand new out the packet - seagate 1TB SSHD. I've tried the usual Ms CMD. Lines. To rectify once I experienced problems.!
Keep getting boot mgr missing. Upon pc start.? , & when I try new install upon wiping HD & partitions, then select & install the pre-activated windows 7 ultimate option from menu... It installs half way to about step 2. Of 4. (Copying files). Then i get error msg 0x080070017 @ 92%. (Some suggested my disc @ fault.) But I did get win7 pro. Option to take. But no drivers. Not even Internet.?, which is normal on the type of A.I.O disc I'm using. So I'm told.!
I'm now getting worried as I've not had this hassle before Trting to install windows. PLS HELP.!!!

boot off the win7 disk, delete partitions, create partition(s), format the partition(s) but not the windows 100meg partition. click continue. win7 will load what drivers it has for your laptop. what is the make & model# of that Sony vaio laptop?
