So, i dont have an oculus or vive, but i do have a google cardboard, and i want to play steam games in VR with it. I use TeamViewer to broadcast my pc screen to my phone but only problem is that no game at all will start in VR mode(2 seperate screens side by side). Is this possible to do?

Specs:

MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Gaming X 2G
Core 2 Quad Q6700 @ 3GHz
8GB DDR2
Asus P5QL Pro
600W PSU

Solution
Google Cardboard isnt a VR device. Steam VR most likely needs an actual piece of hardware to recognize and be able to use the VR features and games.

Sorry, but again, the 1050 is no where near what youll need for a pleasant experience. Last I looked, 970 was minimum. So I would assume with this iteration of cards it would be minimum 1060. 1050 is 2 tiers down from that.

i can already play Vr games now with the 1050, last time my friend came over and brought his oculus rift, and my GTX 1050(keep in mind i overclocked with afterburner; +125MHz, i will see if i rise the core voltage to do something like +500MHz) holds things like AltspaceVR, Project Cars Pagani edition, etc. As long as you don't crank it up to max settings, it runs happily with medium-high.
