How to make a windows hp notebook keyboard work while playing games

keyboard works fine when typing and other stuff but when i try to play an online game that involes the keyboard it doesnt work.

What games you trying to play, what laptop model, what do you mean, keyboard does not work, like wsad keys not moving your character, or arrow keys not working?

the games that im trying to play are shooting but the involve movement to play them, and both of them dont work when i play the game, HEWLETT PACKARD dv6700
