How to make the sound come out from my TV connected to my pc via HDMI ?

So i'm connecting my tv via hdmi to my pc , i enabled AMD HDMI output in the sound panel . but the sound still comes out from my headphones . I am useing an Xi-FI surround pro external sound card if that's an issue ?

Right click the little speaker icon in your task-bar, select playback devices, right click your tv and select enable.

Does it look something like this below? If your headphones still work then they are enabled and your tv is not.

I am not sure if this is a applicable to your particular graphics card, but when I was using a GTX 250 or something like that , I needed an spdif cable to get sound to my graphics card to send it via hdmi. That may be the case for you.
