The Galaxy S7 launched with a few small issues. One of which was around Wi-Fi. Some Galaxy users experienced either an intermittent Wi-Fi connection or an inability to connect to a Wi-Fi network at all. If you want to know how to resolve Wi-Fi connectivity issues on a Samsung Galaxy S7, this is for you.

First things first
Before messing with the phone, make sure to check the router and Wi-Fi network first.

• Reboot your router if it is your own network.
• Try to connect to Wi-Fi with another device.
• Reboot your S7 and try to reconnect.

Resolve Wi-Fi connectivity issues on a Galaxy S7
1. Use the Quick Settings drop down on the home page and select Wi-Fi and then the network and tap Forget. Reconnect and retest.
2. Manually set the Wi-Fi frequency to either 2.4GHz or 5GHz by accessing Settings then the three dots in the top right of the screen. Select Advanced, then Wi-Fi frequency band. Manually set it to one setting or the other. Make sure to set the router to the same.
3. Disable Bluetooth from the Quick Settings menu on the home page. This can occasionally interfere with Wi-Fi.
4. Enable mobile data from Quick Settings drop down on the home page. Then navigate to the Settings menu, then Wireless and uncheck Smart network switch.

By now, your Wi-Fi connection should be restored. A few users have had to go further though and wipe the cache partition of the phone.

1. Turn off the handset.
2. Hold down the power, volume and home buttons at the same time until the Samsung S7 logo appears. Release the power button but continue holding volume and home until the Android logo appears.
3. You should now see the recovery menu.
4. Select wipe cache partition with the volume down button and select using the power button.
5. Select reboot system now with the power button.
6. Wait until the wipe is complete and the phone restarts and then retry connecting to Wi-Fi.
