how to setup a blu ray player with no manual

Im trying to setup my blu Ray player but when i power it up, all it does is show the blu ray logo on the Tv and shuts down. I need help

If that's all it does, then sounds like something is wrong with the player and a manual is not going to help. Did you buy it new or used?

I purchased it on Amazon. Would some kind of converter help this??

If it turns on and then shuts down, something is wrong. It shouldn't shut itself off after the bluray logo. That's not right. It should turn on and stay on.
