Could be many things. An overheating older CPU with a heatsink that is clogged with dust could do this. As could an older slower computer trying to handle a lot of flash. (my older laptop has this issue when trying to chat on facebook if I'm at a "game". A computer with a virus is another possibility. You should at least post with your system specs so we have some idea of whats going on.
