How to turn 60” hitachi on

The power buttons are black round on the front bottom. No lights turn on when I try to turn it on. How to check the battery

If you are asking how to check the remote functionallity, look at the remote on you cell phone camera. Many cameras can see the IR flash from remotes.

If the TV won't turn on using the power button on the TV itself there is no point in troubleshooting the remote.
Make sure that the AC outlet that the TV is plugged into is live. Try an extension cord and another AC outlet.

Also check the fuse in the mains plug if applicable - - it may have blown.


And why you want to check the battery? Television sets don't have a battery - if they worked off a battery it would have to be as big as a suitcase - :/
