HP Compaq 6720s orange wi-fi switch/button

Hello,

The wi-fi switch (physical) on my hp 6720s keeps staying orange.

Upon boot the light is blue, however when windows starts, the light becomes orange.

The operating system is Windows XP SP3. I recently installed linux on my laptop and I boot it through a USB.

In Device Manager I have:
Broadcom 802.11a/b/g WLAN
Intel(R) 82562GT 10/100 Network Connection

They are both enabled.

Wi-fi doesn't work

Any help in solving this issue is appreciated.

Moved to Laptops as I don't think this actually a problem with the wireless but rather its a how to turn it on issue.
Have you tried the switch or Fn key combo? I could not find which method your laptop uses.

I fixed the problem by installing HP Wireless Assistant.
