HP dms-1020ea won't recognise my logitech mouse

I've previously plugged my mouse's usb into other laptops and have got a 'new device added' message and it's worked instantly - but my new HP is just ignoring it.

I installed all the automatic updates and restarted the PC as the offline support suggested but still nothing has happended.

Anyone know what the problem is?

what version of windows are you using?

you may need to go to the mouse manufacturer's website on a separate computer, download the mouse drivers onto disk/usb, and install them on the new computer by using a different mouse...
