Hi.
I just purchased a hp dv6 1325so laptop. It runs perfect except the fan is constandly running.
I went to the bios-setup where "fan always on" was enabled. I disabled this but then the fan wasen´t running at all!
It seems like theres is no smart-function thats turns on the fan when needed and slows it down when not needed.
Is there anything i can do? im running windows 7 64 bit

I suspect, this being Winter in Europe and the USA, that the fan sensor hasn't been triggered. I'd put the fan-always-on option at disabled and only switch it to enabled if the laptop becomes worryingly hot or starts playing up.

I'm sure if you are South of the Equator, you will ignore my comment.

Is there a way of turning it off without turning the laptop off to go into bios?

I doubt if there is a way to turn it off in Windows, but if any power saving utilities came with the laptop it might be there.
