Question:
I am going to be a mechanical engineering student next fall, which laptop should i get and WHY?

Facts:
will be using using AutoDesk products like AutoCAD and Inventor.
be doing regular school work (word ppt etc)
the school i choose offers great deals on microsoft products (thats why its not in the configuration)
price is almost identical
doing medium gaming, nothing too intense
will also getting a bluetooth mouse so dont worry about the touch pad

Solution
I'd go with the dv6tse out of the two. For programs like AutoDesk, etc..., the extra hardware power of the CPU and GPU over the other model will be what you want. What is your budget? Perhaps we can find something else out there.
