HP dv9819wm Sound Card Doesn't Show In Device Manager

Hi, I have a HP dv9819wm laptop with the Altec Lansing speakers running Vista Home Premium 64-bit with NVidia graphics. I have the red X on the speaker symbol. It tells me that there is no audio output device is installed. A friend recently gave me this laptop and it was full of viruses and I did a complete factory restore. The problem is that the sound card doesn't even show up in the device manager with the usual yellow triangle and I've tried re-installing the driver from hp but it pops up that there is no sound card found. I racked my brain on it all day yesterday and now need help. Thanks in advance for all responses!

Hi,

I've also tried uninstalling then re-installing the NVIDIA chipset drivers and also the Conexant audio driver but nothing seems to work. What am I doing wrong...what am I missing? Please help...I'm losing my mind and I need this soon for my online classes. Also tried the UAA drivers. Here is the report from Driver Genius:
