HP nc6400 suddenly stopped detecting avaliable wireless networks!

Hi there

I am completely frustrated with this problem. I have an older laptop HP nc6400 that worked fine until recently. I downloaded Fios Optimizer and soon thereafter my wireless connection stopped working.
Windows XP
intel Centrino
intel Pro/ Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection
The channel selection for an ad hoc 802.11a

Please Help!

FiOS doesn't work well with older versions of IE and other things, I think I'd uninstall it....could make sure you have the latest BIOS and drivers for you laptop, it might help
