This morning I was trying to adjust some settings in the BIOS of my laptop,
and must have reset the wrong one(s).
Now when I reboot, all I get is the HP logo and at the bottom left I get the
options for changing boot sequence & going into setup. Unfortunately,
pushing either button freezes the computer. Not touching anything also
freezes the computer at the same spot. I am at a loss as to what to do. Is
it possible to reset the BIOS to default configuration without being able to
go into the BIOS.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Too weird. Does this system have any removable drives (cd-dvd, floppy,
etc.)? Or additional RAM?

If so, remove these drives or RAM (leaving only the hard drive in), power
up the computer - I hoping that the non-presence of these drives (or the
system having less memory) will trigger a cmos bios error that will allow
you to get into the bios configuration table again. If it works, then you
can power off the thing, put the drives or RAM back in, and (hopefully)
it'll be a happy computer once again...
