Solved! Hp pavillion dv1000 sound and ethernet problem

Hello,
I am having problem with sound and ethernet. both are not working. we tried with everything. we change the operating system xp home to windows 7 home premium. still the same. I am going to open it. what do you think?

What is the specific problem? They do not work? Besides the OS install, have you tried simply updating the drivers? To me, it sound as if there is an issue with the motherboard, perhaps caused by heat. Unless it is still under warranty, go a head and open it up to see what you can find.
