Hp Pavillion Dv6 [ribbon cable retaining clip]

Okay I have a laptop that needs a new keyboard and I broke the latch/clamp on the motherboard that holds the ribbon cable in place. Does anyone know what that part is called and if I can find on somewhere. Any leads at all would be greatly appreciated.

They are very hard to come by unfortunately.

If you contact HP you might be able to obtain one but fitting it may be a challenge.

Other than that chances are you'll have to replace the board unless you can find another way of connection. (Try some tape)
