HP printer wont install on Asus PRO50Zseries

Hi all,
i have an Asus PRO50Zseries laptop which i am trying to load HP OfficeJet 6310 printer onto.... i have tried doing this numerous times however continously fail... the HP will let me scan to my laptop but wont print from laptop to printer.... im running Vista Premium.
its not the HP printer as i brought 2 other different brand printers and they were doing the same.
I really need to figure out how to get this to work before i throw the Asus out the window!

its because your primary printer isn't set. set your default printer to hp

iv tried doing that cheaptofix however nothing seems to work.....
