HP Stream wont boot up

i have an HP stream 13 that ive had for not too long, i plugged in an external disk drive via usb, and the whole thing shuts down and wont turn back on, every time i hit the power button, it turns on for like half a second then turns back off. i even let it charge for a bit before trying again and i got the same result.

Does this laptop have a battery that can be taken off. If so then I'd try taking off the battery. Having it plugged in. And then try to turn it on. If it doesn't work i'd be pretty mad at whoever you bought that external disk drive from.

the battery is non-removable.

Okay let me try this from a different way. When you say the whole thing shut off I assume you mean like. No shutdown message no nothing it just blackscreened and shut off right. If so then did the fans stop right away. Or did they get really loud first?

the computer does not have any fans, it shut off without any warning, screen went black.

Ye. I would take your laptop to a repair place. It's probably internally messed up by the power thingy
