Hudl 2 been broken for awhile and want it fixed

Hey guys my Hudl 2 been broken for awhile but decided I want to get it fix but I don't really remember what was wrong with it, one day it stopped working and that was the end of it. I've plugged a usb cable into the charging port and the red light as came on, it did that before but would stay on red for maybe a whole day and I still couldn't turn it on. Here are my questions. Will the red light still popped up if it's a dead battery? And would it probably be the battery that needs replacing ? Any help is appreciated.

There is not enough information to say for certain that it is a bad battery. You would really need to have it looked at by a tech if you don't remember the problem.
