VirusTotal has detected Generic.PUP, I'm not sure if this is malicious as HWmonitor is a monitoring program for your hardware

It's a PUP , NOT MALWARE , just a Potentially Unwanted Program , but as you know HWmonitor is safe.

Thanks! I do indeed know that PUP is not malware, that's why I said malicious. Just wanted to be 100% sure it wouldn't do anything do my browser, comp etc. Didn't want it to do unwanted stuff. (Added the Malware tag for a quick answer.)

I have just uninstalled HWmonitor as my comp literally bluescreened about 2 minutes ago, I did not catch the reason. It was most likely not a kernel panic though. Im probably going to install HWINFO instead as now I fear HWmonior...
