i am looking for a laptop $700

I need a laptop to play games like the sims and gta, and other light games. I need one with a large hard drive for movies and music. I need one for no more that 700 dollars. It also needs to be able to multi task.

This pc will handle most games you throw at it the only issue would be cooling as the only cooling it uses is a thin copper strip. any higher specs and youd need a custom laptop or even a 1700$ laptop

The GTA series is not considered "light" unless you are excluding GTA 4 and 5. GTA 4 is a very bad port when it was released which could mean GTA 5 will be another bad port. Bad ports means higher system requirements.

If a 14" laptop is fine, then consider the $699 Lenovo Y410p it has a GT 755m graphics chip which is slightly more powerful than a Radeon HD 8850m. Both of those chips would simply crush the performance of the AMD Radeon HD 7660G + 7670M Dual Graphics in the above suggested laptop with ease.

The GT 610m is a very weak GPU. The Intel HD 4000 is actually rated a little bit more powerful than it.

Check out the 15.6" Lenovo Z510 series. There are a total of 6 different models. They all use the Intel HD 4600 graphics core which is ranked higher than the integrated Radeon HD 7660g graphics core and nVidia GT 710m (which is more powerful than the GT 625m).

17.3" Lenovo G700 (59378840) Intel Core i7 3632QM - Ivy Bridge Generation quad core CPU + nVidia GT 720m GPU and 1600x900 resolution for $700.

The GT 720m is a bit weak for a 1600x900 resolution screen in my opinion, but you should be able to play non graphically demanding games at medium graphics quality. You can also lower the resolution to 1366x768 when playing games for better performance. 1600x900 is better suited for multi-tasking than a 1366x768 resolution screen. I am looking at a new laptop because the 1366x768 resolution screen on my lenovo Y470 is too low to multi-task. I'm looking to buy a 15.6" laptop with a 1920x1080 screen early next year, but maybe I will settle for a 14" / 15.6" laptop with 1600x900 resolution.

15.6" Acer Aspire V5-572G-6679 Intel Core i5 3337U + GT 720m + 1366x768 resolution for $600.

Basically the game graphics card as the above Lenovo, but only dual core CPU. Due to the lower resolution you will get better game performance with this laptop. You can lower resolution on the Lenovo G700 though when playing games to increase performance.

15.6" Acer V5-552G-X414 AMD A-Series A10-5757M + Radeon HD 8750m + 1366x768 resolution screen = $600.

The Radeon HD 8750m is more powerful than the GT 720m, but I believe it is less powerful than the GT 730m. This laptop will give you the best game performance.
