when i attempt the hookup the message i get is no signal.
my old tv box was no problem

O suppose your box is either defective, or has a button on the remote to switch between outputs. Check with provided documentation.

How you ate connecting it to your TV? What cable you're using? Have you tried connecting it directly to the tv?
