I need help hooking my Xbox one up to my Samsung sound bar and my 10 year old rear projection dvi TV. I have a hdmi to FBI converter but I cannot get all 3 to sync on 1080I . My TV only has 1 dvi port but it has plenty of spots for hi-def cables which I use. I also use an optical s/PDF cord but I just can't figure it out. I do not need these 3 day long explanation that dance around the subject I just need help so I can play my Xbox one and watch blue rays. I have hooked the Xbox one up to the TV but I cannot get it to run on 1080I only 480p and 480I. Thank you for taking the time to read my question.

Without HDCP (copy protection) which is part of the HDMI protocol, I don't believe you will get 1080. Breaking out to component video breaks the HDCP chain. The Xbox won't do HD 1080.
