I can not open camera

There are brand new generation of Dell laptop processor. I can not open camera. I had my computer folder icon, no longer exists. I went after a workout format. I do not know how you'll bring you back. I've tried all the way. I'd appreciate if you can help.

my computer is a laptop. built-in webcam. There was a camera icon in the computer folder. but now no icon. has been deleted. I can not turn on the camera now.

If it's windows 8 go to start menu, and locate the camera app, or download it via the store. if it's windows 7, google a good camera app, and place the shortcut where it was before.

If you reinstall the driver software, your icon (utility for the cam) should come back. You will need to visit your computer manufacturer's support website to obtain the software.

If only the icon is gone, but the software is still installed somewhere, then you should be able to find the utility in Computer -> C: -> Program files (x86). If it's there, right click on it, then select "send to", then Desktop.
