I cannot get into Refresh in my Windows 8.1 machine because the drive where I have it is locked. How do I unlock the drive?

I don't know why I even ask anymore. I have lived with this problem for more than a year I think and I have not found a simple solution.
Is there a simple solution?

When you say refresh your laptop you mean a factory reset right? Normally you can refresh your laptop without a built in image. Please do try these steps that might help.
