i cant shut off my laptop

Hello there! i just tried to install my c01u cakewalk thingy and it stopped installing after i needed to choose my language. now i have two bars with 'setup' and i can't click them away. now i can't shut off my pc. can someone help me? thanks. and, can a force shutdown harm my pc? i think that's the best plan?

Take the battery out (If it is a laptop) and unplug it. Or hold the power button down until the computer turns off.
You will ruin your install and have to redo it. It sounds like it is messed up anyway.
If you have any unsaved files you will loose them. When you restart Windows will check your hard diver for errors.
You should be good to go after that.
