I don't have a yellow hole color for my Toshiba tv. I'm trying to connect my dvd that requires the red, white and yellow cord

What color do you put the yellow cord in if your television doesn't have a yellow hole.

Does your DVD player have an HDMI connection, as well as your TV? If so, it would be better to use that rather than composite (the yellow hole). Also make sure the TV input is set to the HDMI port number, if you intend to watch dvds. So HDMI port 1 would be HDMI input 1.

First go into the TV menu and change the input type to composite video.
Then you can just try each one until you get a picture.
The TV owners manual should have that info. Often you can download that online.
