I have a cable box and just hooked up my tv and get a great picture but no sound

My new tv is hooked up the the hdmi xfinity cabl box. The picture comes on but no sound. However, when I set it to AV and play the DVD player there is sound. WWhat do I need to do to get my sound to play on the cble tv? Thank you, Kathy

Usually when you connect an HDMI cable to a set top box the audio works automatically but since yours does not check the settings menus in the box and see if you can set the audio to HDMI.
