have a dell laptop, but when I turn it on it has a dim light that almost I cannot see the graphics of my laptop but when I moved the lid downward the brightness becomes okay

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help, it seems like hardware problem.
- Start by opening your laptop and check if the ribbon cable that connects the display to the motherboard is seated properly.
- Do try to unplug/replug the ribbon cable just to make sure it's seated properly.
- If all these will not work it may be the time to replace either the ribbon or the whole display itself already.
