I have a flat screen but i tryed to watch tvfrom my laptop sith the HDMI cord but its telling me No signal

I hooked up a HDMI cord to watch tv from my laptop but now the tv is telling me no signal.

If the video resolution of the laptop isn't compatible the TV will say no signal. Set the TV as a 2nd or extended display and then you can set the resolution to match the TV.
If that doesn't help try a different HDMI input or HDMI cable.
You can also try changing the order you boot the laptop and select the HDMI input it's connected.
