Guys I have a HP Pavilion g 15 notebook with high specs.8 GB ram AMD quad core 1.9 ghz CPU with radeon R3 graphics 5 GB.of course 64 bit windows 8.1.I have java latest version for 64 bit I have changed power to high performance activated all 4 cores changed my virtual ram to 4350 I don't know what to do please helppppppp!!!!
Honestly, a lot of the reason Minecraft has issues is because it is java vs being in Unity or some other gaming engine that works better. Best thing to do is try turning down settings a bit to see if it improves.
If you are playing online and experiencing lag only then, vs having lag both online and offline, then the issue may just be the server and/or internet connection.
With all due respect, sir, these specs (apart from your RAM) are far from high. Quite the contrary, even for a notebook. Yes, there are 4 cores, but very slow four cores both in terms of architecture and clock speed - to make things worse, only 1 or 2 of them are being used for the game anyway. And Minecraft has a system requirement set to 2.6GHz minimum - meaning that your CPU is likely a huge bottleneck here. Radeon R3 is a very slow GPU as well. I am afraid that nothing can be done here and that you should get a faster machine with better specs, especially on the CPU part.
