i have a language program with voice recognition. I can hear the instructions via audio jack and ear buds. Purchased usb headset with mic because the Lenovo builtin was not working well. I ran the setup and the sound and mic work great in the computer but cannot hear the program (murmur). Is this a program issue or...?

Do you have a small speaker icon on your screen. With Windows the icon is most likely at the lower right side.

Right click the icon and you will see settings for Recording Devices and Playback devices.

You should be able to see the options available to you. Correct as necessary. Or if the current selections are correct, then there is probably (or should be) a setting in the program to tell the program which to use.
