I have a Lenovo G510 - (i7 / 8GB Ram / AMD R7 Graphics / Win 10) I have a very weird screen display issue

Solution
Hi,

Please do try these troubleshooting steps I suggested to others who had the same concern.
- Start by connecting your laptop onto an external monitor and observe if you'll also get that flickering issue on it.
- If it doesn't happen that means they replaced the wrong part because the problem would be either the screen itself or the ribbon cable that connects it to the motherboard.
- If the flickering does happen on the external display that means it's something to do with the graphics card itself.
- Do a clean install of the graphics card driver first.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the AMD graphics driver.
- Check Programs and Features then uninstall anything related to AMD.
- Next is to download and install the latest driver...

- Here's the link: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download
- Reboot your laptop once the latest driver has been installed.
- After the reboot do test it again and see if the same problem will persist.
- If these steps will not work contact Lenovo for a repair.

Hi

Have been able to connect the laptop to the external monitor and play high def games like Age of inquisition
I have also done a clean install
Uninstalled the drivers both Intel and AMD
Installed Intel first and then AMD
- The laptop boots up fine at this point - i power it down try to boot it up the next day, i do not get a display on the screen :-(

I have given the laptop to a Lenovo Service center - They mentioned that it is some reflow issue ( Mother board will be removed and hot air is blown over it - (I personally feel this is not the issue and they have asked me to give it to a 3rd party vendor and it will not be their responsibility if some thing goes wrong) )

Also to your earlier question there is no flickering on the external screen ( Laptop Age 2 Years)

Do you think it has some thing to do with the Inverter or the video cable or the screen itself ?

P.S Thank you for your quick response
